Offering of the Angels opened today at the James Michener Art Museum, Doylestown.
Okay, the full name of the exhibit is Offering of the Angels: Treasures from the Uffizi Gallery!! Drawn from the holdings of the incomparable Uffizi Gallery in Florence and curated by its director, Antonio Natali, it features examples of art created between the 15th and 17th Centuries, paintings by Botticelli, Titian, Tintoretto, Parmigianino, Cristofano Allori, and their contemporaries.
Along with two tapestries from the same period, the exhibit - organized by Amici degli Uffizi of Florence, Italy - the exhibition arrives in the U.S.A. after extensive tours across Europe; here in the U.S.A., it will be hosted by a select group of museums, beginning with our SE PA's own Michener!!
